AZM’s date code system has 3 implementations depending on the package sizing of the parts.

Note: Some AZM products have their date codes located on the underside of the package.

 

Four (4) Character Date Code ( Y Y W W )

Y Y = Last two (2) digits of the calendar year (00-99); repeats every 100 years

W W = Two (2) digit week (01-52)

 

Examples:

1216 → 2012 Week 16

1142 → 2011 Week 42

 

Three (3) Character Date Code ( Y W W )

Y = Last digit of the calendar year (0-9); repeats every 10 years

W W = Two (2) digit week (01-52)

 

Examples:

216 → 2012 Week 16

142 → 2011 Week 42

 

Two (2) Character Date Code (Y W)

Y = Year; Numeric (0-9) for weeks 1-26; Alpha (A-J) for weeks 27-52; repeats every 10 years

W = Week; Alpha (A-Z) for weeks 1-52

BP → 2011 Week 42
